Our purpose is to preserve and promote the knowledge of citrus fruits
The citrus paradise on earth
Todolí Citrus Fundació is a project born from the natural reaction of Vicente Todolí to his family’s link to citrus growing and the urbanistic threat that could put an end to that memory. Today, with nearly 500 varieties from all corners of the planet, this orchard is probably the largest collection of citrus fruits grown outdoors in the world.
Todolí Citrus Fundació was created for the research and conservation of citrus biodiversity, as well as to promote its use and knowledge in our society.
It was constituted in 2013 under the protectorate of the Generalitat Valenciana, being one of its fundamental objectives the defense and protection of the environment, representing our purpose in the conservation of the Valencian agrarian landscape.
Located in the picturesque town of Palmera, on the Mediterranean coast of Valencia, this orchard is not only the headquarters of our Foundation, but also home to an impressive citrus collection, possibly the largest in the world grown outdoors. With nearly 500 varieties, our collection encompasses citrus from twelve different varietal groups.
Explore the richness and biodiversity of our orchard, a veritable botanical treasure trove representing every citrus-growing area on the planet.
Our specialized technicians will accompany you on this unique experience through the El Bartolí Botanical Orchard, extending over an area of approximately 4.5 hectares. This tour will not only give you the opportunity to admire the magnitude and beauty of the orchard, but will also deepen your knowledge of our extensive collection of citrus fruits, which amounts to nearly 500 different varieties.
A sensory experience that connects visitors with the land and its fruits, offering a unique perspective on the importance of biodiversity and the conservation of citrus species.

Inspired by the story of how the Medici, in 1550, valued citrus fruits to the point of collecting them as works of art and bringing specialists from Valencia to care for their gardens, at the Todolí Citrus Fundació we extend our love for citrus beyond the limits of the orchard.
We will delve into the study and appreciation of citrus not only as natural elements, but also as cultural and artistic symbols. We reveal how citrus fruits have been represented and valued in art throughout the centuries, reflecting their beauty and significance in diverse forms and cultural contexts.
The Todolí Citrus Fundació is a non-profit organization founded by Vicente Todolí Cervera, who decided to bequeath the family heritage obtained from his parents, who were passionate about citrus growing, in order to perpetuate their legacy.
Over the years, the Foundation has expanded its domain by acquiring adjacent orchards in order to preserve the citrus landscape that marked Todolí’s childhood and ensure its conservation for the enjoyment and learning of future generations.
