Selection made in Florida (USA) characterized by the aroma of its fruits. It is part of the group of bittersweet orange trees, which were brought to America on Christopher Columbus's first voyages.

Tree and fruit description

Tree with a more compact growth than the European bitter-sweet and narrower leaves. The fruits are very similar, although they acquire a much more pronounced orange color. The bark is semi-rough and aromatic. The flesh is well-segmented and soft orange in color. The juice is aromatic, slightly acidic, and has a hint of bitterness.

Uses

The fruit can be used to make jams, the segments in salads, and its juice for seasoning.
