Origin data
Arrufatina is a selection made in Vila-real (Castellón, Spain) from a spontaneous mutation of Clemenules. Its main characteristics are its low acidity and that it ripens slightly earlier than Clemenules. Due to its low acidity, its internal ripening is significantly earlier (1 month) than the change in color, allowing for early harvesting.
Tree and fruit description
Medium vigor tree, productive, with rounded morphology and a more open upper zone. Medium-sized dark green leaves. Fruit of medium-large size among clementines, with oblate morphology. Thin, smooth or slightly bulging skin, reaching a deep orange color. Juicy, sweet orange pulp. Seedless in the absence of cross-pollination. Early clementine of good quality, but should be harvested early to avoid fruit quality loss.
