Borneo (Citrus lumia) is not a true lemon but a pseudolumia, the result of a natural cross between a Pummelo and an Acid Lime. This unusual origin explains the complexity of aromas of its rind and juice. It is also known as Baboon Lime, and seems to have originated in India.

Its fruits have an oval morphology, persistent style and a thick and smooth rind of bright yellow color and soapy fragrances. Its rind, grated or whole, adds a characteristic citrus aroma to food and beverages, and its juice is an interesting alternative for seasoning soups and salads.
