Tree and fruit description

Vigorous tree, with an open habit but a tendency to form a rounded crown. Large leaves in relation to the size of the fruits, lanceolate and serrated at the edges. Small fruits, with a spherical or subglobose morphology, featuring a small apical nipple crowned by a soft groove, and with a depressed insertion zone. Bulging bark, almost rough, with an orange-yellow color when fully ripe. Flesh of orange color, juicy and with a fresh fragrance, with subtle acidic, bitter, and iodized notes. It has seeds.

Uses

It can be consumed fresh, or its juice can be drunk directly. They can also be preserved as pickles or in the form of jam. As a condiment, it surprises with its low acidity and characteristic aroma.
