Fiorentina

Variety already cultivated in the 16th century in Tuscany (Italy) by the Medici family, and which later spread to other villas in Florence belonging to noble families. It is likely a selection of the Femminello lemon.

Vigorous tree with upright growth and highly productive. Elliptical leaves arranged on short internodes. Predominantly ellipsoid fruits, with a slightly rounded apical nipple and a more or less apparent neck. Fine, smooth, and aromatic bark, bright yellow in color. Very acidic pulp, shiny and pale yellow, very juicy. Contains seeds.

Its culinary uses are similar to those of table lemon.
