The Cidro Crispifolia is characterized by the morphology of its leaves and fruits. The leaves are curled, with the segments of the blade protruding between the veins, hence its name.
Tree and fruit description
The fruits have very varied and bizarre shapes. They have a thick and very rough skin, dark yellow in color when ripe. Their albedo is edible and distinguishable from that of other citruses. The central axis of the fruit is hollow, and the pulp is very scarce and not very juicy.
Uses
Both the tree and its fruits have undeniable ornamental value. Its albedo can be consumed fresh, in green salads or fruit salads. Its bark can flavor fish, soups, or sweets.
