Clemenules

Clemenules has traditionally been the most cultivated clementine in Spain, but in recent years its production has declined sharply due to the shift to new varieties. It is the result of the selection of a spontaneous mutation detected on Clementino Fino in Nules (Castellón, Spain) in 1953. It is characterized by ripening a little earlier than its parent and producing larger fruit.

Vigorous and productive tree, with a rounded morphology, which performs well in narrow planting frames. Large, lanceolate leaves, bright light green in color. Medium-large fruit among the clementines, with a markedly oblate morphology. Intense orange rind, easy to peel and slightly rough. Orange flesh, tasty, with good juice content. Seedless in the absence of cross-pollination. If it remains on the tree for a long time after maturity, the fruit tends to lose juice, although the rind looks good. Later on, the rind starts loosening.
