Origin data

Variety of unknown origin but ancient, as it was already described in agronomic treatises of the 16th century. Its name refers to the great diversity of shapes that its fruits exhibit.

Tree and fruit description

Moderately vigorous tree but very productive and with an open habit. Leaves that can be semi-serrated. Fruits with very diverse morphologies: ribbed, variegated, pear-shaped, globose, flattened, with or without an apical nipple... Bark rough or smooth, ranging from bright yellow to pale, with greenish tints. Albedo of variable thickness. Acidic pulp, more in the less bizarre fruits, while the bizarre ones have a milder and more aromatic acid. It may have seeds or not.

Uses

The juice of the most bizarre fruits can be used directly in the preparation of lemonades.
