Origin data

The Sweet Aranciata Lime has an unknown origin. It is likely a natural hybrid, selected for the orange color of its ripe fruits, but its parentage is unknown. Given its characteristics, the parents could be the lime or lemon on one side, and the mandarin or even the orange on the other. It is characterized by producing fruits with low acidity.

Tree and fruit description

Vigorous, productive, and upright tree, leafy. Leaves similar to those of the acid lime. Round fruits, larger than limes, may have an apical protuberance. Smooth, fine, slightly aromatic bark. Bright yellow in color, it reaches orange tones at the end of ripeness. Yellow-orange pulp, juicy, sweet due to the absence of acidity. It has no seeds.

Uses

This lime is a good alternative for seasoning all kinds of dishes for people who cannot tolerate acidity.
