Kumquats and their hybrids
Origin:

Origin data
This Limonquat, a hybrid of the lemon tree and kumquat, is a hybrid that has generated some confusion in the literature regarding its origin and possible parentage, as two distinct hybrids, Lemondrop and Sunquat, are often identified as Limonquat. While the latter has a clear origin in Beeville (Texas, USA) and its possible parents could be some type of mandarin and a kumquat, the Lemondrop in question has an unknown origin, and its possible parents could be a lemon tree and a kumquat.
Tree and fruit description
Small tree, with moderate but productive growth. Leaves are distinctly lanceolate, of a deep green color. The fruit is large among kumquats, elongated, with a practically fusiform morphology. The skin is smooth, shiny, and waxy, of a slightly pale yellow color. It is aromatic and edible. The pulp is abundant, juicy, acidic, of a yellow color, and divided into 5 or 6 segments. It contains some seeds.
Uses
It can be consumed fresh whole, although due to its size it is usually cut into slices for inclusion in salads.
