Its name may refer to Kullu, a city located in northern India, and the same name has been used to refer to various varieties of citrus fruits. It is characterized by the morphology of its fruits, which are similar to Lumias.
Tree and fruit description
Open and rounded tree, productive. Fruits large, elongated in morphology, mainly pear-shaped with a long neck. It may have a persistent style in the apical area. Cork slightly bulging, very hard, and yellow in maturity. Aromatic. Edible albedo. Juicy pulp, pale yellow in color, and very acidic and aromatic. Contains seeds.
Uses
Its albedo is firm and flavorful, infused with essential oils, making it ideal for combining in green salads or fruit salads, as well as for preparing purées. Both its juice and its peel can be used to flavor desserts.
