The Satsuma El Bartolí is a result of the variety recovery program carried out by Todolí Citrus Fundació. This early satsuma is characterized by the size of its fruits and the presence of a second aborted fruit at the apical zone of the fruits.
Tree and fruit description
Vigorous and productive tree, with a slow growth habit and an open stance. Large, lanceolate leaves with slightly serrated edges. Fruit is distinctly oblate, large among early satsumas. Smooth, thin, waxy skin that is yellow-green when the fruit reaches internal maturity. Very easy to peel. Seedless. Flesh is bright, intense orange, juicy, sweet, and has an interesting touch of acidity.
