Art in Todolí Citrus Fundación

Todolí Citrus Fundació has a strong link with contemporary art, which is present in different areas of the Foundation’s facilities, most of them being works that the Foundation has received as donations from renowned contemporary artists, among them: Silvia Bachli, Miroslaw Balka, Lothar Baumgarthen, Xu Bing, Carmen Calvo, Mauricio Cattelan, Joan Jonas, Attilio Maranzano, Cildo Meireles, Antoni Miralda, Juan Muñoz, Nicolás Ortigosa, Jorge Peris, Jurgen Schadeberg, Alessandra Spranzi, Juan Uslé, …

In addition, Todolí Citrus has been the seed and inspiration for the development of several charitable art projects, with the Foundation being the beneficiary of the proceeds from its sale.

Among them is The Todolí Citrus Foundation Collection Box, (connect this link to the editions section of the website) made up of a group of works by 14 internationally renowned artists – Mirosław Bałka, Tacita Dean, Nan Goldin, Paul Graham, Carsten Höller, RoniHorn, Cristina Iglesias, Ragnar Kjartansson, Julie Mehretu, Cildo Meireles, Matt Mullican, Antoni Muntadas, Philippe Parreno and Julião Sarmento. A project initiated by the participating artists, and coordinated by Lucía Muñoz Iglesias, with the aim of supporting the activities and research work developed by Todolí Citrus Fundació.

Unfortunately, the space available to us is limited and does not allow us to show all the works in the collection simultaneously. Some can be visited in our museum, others in the Laboratory and some are on the tour in the Orchard, as is the case of Carsten Höller’s aviary.

A future project for the Fundació is the construction of an exhibition space with museological characteristics, which we have named Espai Citrus.

This space, which is in the early stages of development, is the result of a collaboration between architect Carles Salazar and artist Antoni Miralda. It will house the Citrus in Art collection that the foundation is developing physically and digitally.
