Origin data
Variety recovered at the Acireale Research Institute (Italy), which likely owes its name to the morphology of its fruits, reminiscent of the Adam's apple.
Tree and fruit description
Medium vigor tree with average production, occasionally bearing fruit in clusters. Fruit is elliptical in shape, with a slightly accentuated apical navel and basal neck. Smooth bark, bright yellow in color, moderately thick, with very prominent oil glands, but on the contrary, not very aromatic. The albedo is thin, with a strong flavor due to the intrusion of essential oils. The pulp is pale yellow, shiny, very juicy, and very acidic. Juice of excellent quality. Seedless, with only the occasional seed. Hollow central axis.
Uses
Its uses include seasoning with the juice or combining it with other citrus juices to add character.
