Origin data

Variety characterized by the morphology of its leaves and the shape and appearance of the tree. The leaves are thin and elongated, resembling those of the willow, hence its name.

Tree and fruit description

Weak but very productive tree. Its branches have a downward tendency, quite contrary to other lemon trees. Leaves are markedly lanceolate and elongated, willow-like, with a dark green color. Medium-small fruits, with a somewhat dull yellow color and ovoid shape, featuring a pronounced basal neck. Thick, almost rough bark with a sweet aroma. Edible albedo, thick, with a pleasant taste. Pale yellow pulp, with a tendency to dry if left on the tree for too long. Not very juicy. Acidic juice, without nuances. Almost total absence of seeds. Small and hollow central axis.

Uses

Its culinary use focuses on the albedo and the zest, with a fragrance different from table lemon.
