Variety characterized by the morphology of its small lemons. It is an ancient variety, cultivated in the Medici gardens of the 17th century. It is only found in Italy and the French Riviera.

Tree and fruit description

Vigorous tree, upright in stature and very productive. Dark, elliptical, and elongated leaves. Fruits generally small in size (around 5 cm high), pear-shaped, and with a persistent style. Smooth bark, pale yellow in maturity and with a gentle, herbal fragrance. Soft but bright toned pulp, juicy and with a very pleasant sour taste. It may contain some seeds.

Uses

Interesting variety as an alternative to table lemon or for mixed drinks.
