The Clementine Orogrós is the result of the selection of a spontaneous mutation detected in the Clementine Oronules. It was selected by Vicente Arnau in La Vall D’Uxó (Castellón, Spain). Its main characteristic is being a variety that is somewhat earlier than the original Oronules.

Tree and fruit description

Very low vigor tree, thornless and small in size. Small, dark lanceolate leaves with a tendency to curve towards the underside. Medium-sized fruit, similar to Oronules, with an oblate morphology. Intense orange bark, easy to peel and slightly soft. Tasty flesh, with a good acid-sugar balance, although the membranes of the segments are noticeable. Seedless in the absence of cross-pollination.
