Selection made in Sicily (Italy) of a spontaneous mutation of a Common Clementine bud. It is characterized by being a late cultivar, hence its name, and its fruit remains well on the tree after ripening.

Tree and fruit description

Vigorous tree with a vertical growth habit and dense foliage. Medium-large leaves, with the lanceolate shape typical of Clementines. White flowers, quite large. Fruits of medium size among the clementines, globular shape and flattened at the poles. Bark of intense orange color, tending to separate from the flesh. Juicy pulp, usually with few seeds.

Uses

Consumption in fresh form. It is a very popular cultivar as an ornamental plant.
