Variety originating from the Sicilian region of Cerza (Italy), known for being a highly productive area of high-quality lemons.
Tree and fruit description
Semi-vigorous tree with vertical growth. Dark green leaves and petiole sensitive to wind. Fruits ovoid in shape, with a smooth apical nipple and a normally marked basal zone. Slightly granular bark, yellow in color and medium thickness; mild aroma. Bright yellow flesh, very juicy and very acidic. Practically seedless.
Uses
Table lemon, which is used for seasoning with the juice, stronger, or with the peel, which has a more subdued aroma.
