Origin data

Variety that appears to be a selection made on the island of Sicily (Italy), where it is cultivated almost exclusively. It is characterized by the morphology of the tree's leaves, which are narrower than those of other lemon trees, as well as by the morphology and size of its fruits.

Tree and fruit description

Vigorous tree, with a tendency to form a rounded crown of dense foliage. Leaves distinctly lanceolate, narrow, and with a pointed base. Fruits small in size, pear-shaped with a rounded apex and a small pointed mamelon. Smooth, thin, aromatic bark that turns pale yellow when mature. Flesh slightly juicy, acidic, and refreshing. It contains few seeds.

Uses

Interesting variety due to the appearance of its fruits, whose rind can flavor various dishes or beverages.
