Origin data

The Clementine Marisol is the result of the selection of a spontaneous mutation detected in 1970 from the Oroval clementine, in Betxí (Castellón, Spain). Its main characteristic is that it ripens up to 2 weeks earlier than Oroval.

Tree and fruit description

Medium vigor tree, with a more open growth habit than Oroval. Lanceolate, small, dark leaves. Medium-sized fruit, generally less ovoid and more spherical than Oroval. Bark of intense orange color at the point of ripeness, rough and easy to peel. Juicy pulp, with juice of lower quality than that of Oroval. Seedless in the absence of cross-pollination. If left on the tree after maturity, the fruit tends to puff up the bark.

Uses

Fresh consumption.
