Selection of a bud mutation produced on the original or Common clementine, detected and isolated in 1962 by René Ristorcelli in Rabat (Morocco). The Corsica 2 clementine is characterized by the uniformity of its fruit size and consistency in fruiting.
Tree and fruit description
Vigorous tree with behavior similar to the Common clementine, but with an earlier entry into production and higher yield. Fruit of oblate shape, similar to the Common clementine, but larger in size. Orange and aromatic rind. Orange pulp, with a good presence of juice. Self-incompatible variety, therefore seedless in the absence of cross-pollination. It has exceptional organoleptic qualities.
