Todolí Citrus Fundació receives the donation of the work Fuente Citrus Deliciosa by artist Jorge Peris

This summer, artist Jorge Peris (Alzira, 1969) worked in the orchard of Todolí Citrus Fundació to create the work Fuente Citrus Deliciosa, which he has generously donated to the Foundation.

The piece is integrated into the botanical orchard El Bartolí as a space for recreation, contemplation, and memory. Conceived around a Citrus deliciosa—a sweet and juicy mandarin tree that gives the work its name—the fountain is articulated around an old irrigation pond and a disused section of canal, along with other constructive elements that the artist himself recovered from the orchard.

The result is a place where water flows again, accompanying visitors with its sound, blending into the landscape and inviting us to pause before the poetic balance of stones and found materials that Peris has arranged in the form of a totem-fountain.

The work becomes a destination within the orchard, a space to listen to the water, the birdsong, and the scents of the citrus trees, and to enjoy the serenity of the environment.

With this donation, Jorge Peris adds his work to the permanent collection of Todolí Citrus Fundació, contributing to enrich the relationship between nature, landscape, art, and memory that defines the Foundation’s project.
