ORIGIN DATA:

The Kulu Lemon is not a true lemon, but possibly a hybrid between Lemon and Citron. Its name may refer to Kullu, a city located in northern India, and the same name has been used to name several varieties of citrus. It is characterized by the morphology of its fruits, similar to the Lumias.

 

TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:

It is an open and rounded tree, productive. Large fruits of elongated morphology, mainly pyriform with long neck. It can present persistent style in the apical zone. Slightly bulging bark, very hard and yellow when ripe. Aromatic. Edible albedo. Juicy flesh, pale yellow, very acid and aromatic. It has seeds.

 

USES:

Its albedo is hard and tasty, impregnated with essential oils, which makes it ideal to combine in green salads or fruit salads, as well as for the preparation of purees. Both its juice and rind can be used to flavor desserts.
