It is a very particular hybrid of lemon and citron, characterized by producing fruits with rough and aromatic rind, while its albedo is sweet.

TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:

The trees have very large leaves and flowers. The flowers are also very aromatic. The fruits are quite large, of predominantly ellipsoidal morphology but variable, with or without apical mamelon. The rind is very rough in the green fruit, a little less so in the ripe fruit. Very aromatic, it emits a strong and pleasant smell just by touching it. The albedo is edible, thick and one of the sweetest among the lemon-citrons. The pulp is scarce, acidic and not very juicy.

USES:

The rind can be used to flavor dishes and drinks. The albedo is used fresh, as an accompaniment or in salads, green or fruit.
