The fruits are small, but larger than an ordinary lemon. Its shape is like that of a lemon, with a characteristic aureolated mamelon in the apical zone. The rind is rough, thick, and acquires reddish tones on ripening if there has been enough cold. The albedo is not edible, although some palates do accept it. The flesh is juicy, acidic and orange-yellow in color. These fruits do not have the typical Citrus aroma. Organoleptically, it is reminiscent of a saltwater mollusk, as its flavor has iodized tints.
