ORIGIN DATA:
The Fiore Lemon is the result of a hybridization between a Lemon and a Clementine. Its main characteristic is the hybrid appearance of its fruits, with orange rind.
TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:
Vigorous and productive tree, with rounded morphology and leaves more similar to those of the lemon tree. Fruits of medium size and rounded morphology, with a tendency to show a smooth neck or even a prominent apical mamelon. Uniformly granulated rind, orange-yellow, or even orange when ripe. Pulp moderately juicy, greenish-yellow. Seedless.
USES:
Juice is acidic as in lemons, but with an important presence of sugar that mitigates this acidity and points its hybrid origin. Both its juice and rind can be substitutes for lemon in seasoning and confectionery, giving a different character to the preparations.
