ORIGIN DATA:

Vanilla Lemon seems to be the result of a spontaneous mutation that significantly decreases the acidity of the fruit. This variety has green buds, but the flowers maintain the purple coloration of the acid lemon trees.

TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:

Medium vigorous tree, open bearing, with little foliage and few main branches, but very productive. Large leaves compared to the fruit, oval and rounded tip. Small-medium sized fruits, with very variable morphologies: oval, spherical, globular, with hollow or solid central axis, with or without basal neck and with more or less protruding apical mamelon. The rind can be either smooth or lightly bumped, pale yellow in color, and has a typical lemon fragrance. Yellow flesh, juicy, acid free, tasteless. It has seeds.

USES:

Due to its characteristics, they are interesting fruits for people who do not tolerate acidity, because it allows them a natural supply of vitamin C.
