ORIGIN DATA:

Acid citrus fruits are characterized by dark violet or purple tones in their new buds and flowers. The White Blossom Femminello mutation originated in Sicily (Italy), and is characterized by green buds and white flowers, even though the fruits maintain their acidity.

 

TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:

Vigorous tree, with erect growth and very productive. Large, dark, serrated-edged leaves. Fruits of medium-small size, of oblong morphology with typically pointed apical mamelon, which may remain green in ripe fruits and with persistent style. Slightly bulging, aromatic and bright yellow rind. Albedo moderately thick, with somewhat bitter taste and hard texture. Yellow, juicy, acid flesh. Juice of great aromatic and organoleptic quality. It presents few seeds.

 

USES:

It can be used to season meats, fish or salads, as well as to flavor ice creams, cakes, jams or drinks.
