ORIGIN DATA:

Satsuma Wase is the result of a spontaneous mutation on the common satsuma, detected in 1895 by Nagoji Kawano in the prefecture of Ōita. Its main differences from the original are its advanced maturation and high productivity. The name wase (“early”) is added to the different early satsuma Japanese cultivars.
