ORIGIN DATA:
Marisol clementine is the result of the selection of a spontaneous mutation detected in 1970 on the Oroval clementine, in Betxí (Castellón, Spain). Its main characteristic is that it ripens up to 2 weeks earlier than Oroval.
TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:
Medium vigorous tree, with a more open growth habit than Oroval. Lanceolate leaves, small and dark. Medium sized fruit, generally less ovoid and more spherical than Oroval. Rind deep orange at maturity, rough and easy to peel. Juicy pulp, with juice of lower quality than Oroval. Seedless in the absence of cross-pollination. If the fruit remains on the tree after maturity, the fruit tends to the loosening of the rind.
USES:
Fresh consumption.
