ORIGIN DATA:
Arrufatina is a selection made in Vila- real (Castellón, Spain) from a spontaneous mutation of Clemenules. Its main characteristics are its low acid level and that it ripens a little earlier than Clemenules. As it is low in acid, its internal ripening is much earlier (1 month) than the color change, which allows it to be harvested early.
TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:
Medium vigorous tree, productive, with rounded morphology and a more open upper zone. Medium sized dark green leaves. Medium-large fruit among the clementines, with oblate morphology. Thin rind, smooth or slightly bulging, reaches intense orange color. Orange, juicy, sweet flesh. Seedless in the absence of cross-pollination. Early clementine of good quality, but should be harvested early to avoid loss of fruit quality.
USES:
Fresh consumption.
