ORIGIN DATA:
Clemenzira is the result of the selection of a spontaneous mutation on Clementino Fino, detected in Alzira (Valencia) in 1980. It is characterized by its unique aroma and for being one of the earliest clementines available.
TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:
Vigorous, well developed and productive tree. Very dense foliage, with leaves that are usually curved towards the beam, as if irrigation was deficient. Spherical or globular fruits, small-medium size. Thin rind, characteristically mottled and yellow-orange when ripe, has an interesting aniseed aroma when scratched or peeled. Peels well. Juicy pulp, aromatic, intense orange color, which leaves an aniseed aftertaste at the end of the bite. Some seeds may be present.
USES:
This variety did not reach commercial importance, but has a high organoleptic quality.
