ORIGIN DATA:

Cultivar originated in Almassora (Castellón, Spain) in 1962 from a bud mutation of the Owari cultivar. Its particularity is that it ripens 2 to 3 weeks earlier than Owari. At full maturity it is slightly less sweet, but very similar to its parent in all other respects.

 

TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:

Not very vigorous tree, with a tendency to be small in size and slightly open. Moderately productive. Lanceolate leaves and non-winged petiole, typical of satsuma. Spherical fruit, flattened at the poles, of medium size among the satsumas. Rind is smooth, thin, orange and easy to peel. Seedless. Intense orange flesh, very juicy, sweet and delicate aroma.

 

USES:

Fresh consumption.
