Citrus bergamia Risso & Poit.
Sour Oranges and their hybrids
November – March
Femminello Bergamot has been cultivated for hundreds of years in Italy, specifically in the Calabria region. It is known for the high quality of its essential oils. For this reason it was used as a parental for the creation of the Fantastico Bergamot hybrid. Like all bergamot trees, it is a natural hybrid between Sour Orange and Lemon, although its place of origin is unknown.
