ORIGIN DATA:
Oroval is the result of the selection of a spontaneous mutation of Clementino Fino, detected in 1950 in Quart de les Valls (Valencia, Spain).
TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:
Medium vigorous tree with a characteristic upright growth habit. Lanceolate, medium-sized, dark leaves. Medium sized fruit, tending to ovoid morphology with flat apical pole. Intense orange rind, rough and easy to peel. Very juicy pulp, with juice more acid than other clementines. Seedless in the absence of cross-pollination. Its main disadvantage is the small harvest window it offers, as it suffers a rapid loss of fruit quality if the fruit remains ripe on the tree, both due to a decrease in juice content and to rind loosening.
USES:
Fresh consumption.
