ORIGIN DATA:
Variety already cultivated in the XVI century in Tuscany (Italy) by the Medici family, and later extended to other villas of Florence (Fiorentina) belonging to noble families. It is probably a selection of the Femminello lemon.
TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:
Vigorous tree with emergent growth and very productive. Elliptic leaves arranged in short internodes. Fruits predominantly ellipsoid, with slightly rounded apical mamelon and more or less apparent neck. Thin, smooth and aromatic rind, bright yellow in color. Very acid pulp, bright and pale yellow, very juicy. It has seeds.
USES:
Its gastronomic uses correspond to those of the table lemon.
