ORIGIN DATA:
An ancient cultivar of lemon resulting from a selection process of the common Femminello lemon, obtained in the Sicilian city of Siracusa (Italy). It is characterized for being an early and very productive variety. Probably descendant of the Femminello Sfusato or di Favazzina.
TREE AND FRUIT DESCRIPTION:
Vigorous tree of eminently vertical growth and very productive, although it is sensitive to wind. Fruits of medium-large size, ellipsoidal morphology with mamelon at the apex, generally displaced from the vertical axis, and rounded base with slight crown. Slightly granulated rind, typical color of the Femminello lemon and mild aroma. Bright, juicy and very acid pulp. Seeds are present.
USES:
Its culinary use as a table lemon is centered on its juice, abundant and strong.
