Jardín Paraíso
On 16 and 17 September 2022 we launched the Avant-garde Cinema in the Garden Cycle with a programme curated by programmer Andrea Franco.
This programme brought together different proposals with which filmmakers and visual artists explored gardens and orchards. Studies of light, colour and movement on fruits, flowers and plants; samples of the sounds that gardens awaken in all their forms, conceived as places for the pleasure of the senses, for nostalgia, for eroticism, for exoticism, for food or for contemplation.
An exhibition conceived for (and inspired by) Todolí Citrus Fundació’s citrus garden, with the aim of offering an artistic and cultural experience in which cinema dialogues with this singular space. Each session presented a selection of short works by both classical and emerging authors; sound or silent pieces; abstract or figurative; filmed on celluloid or digital.
